On November 12, 2011 at 7 am, Brother Hank will be the speaker at the St. Hilary Men’s Group Meeting. Details below.
Saturday November 12 the Men’s Group Meeting starts with 7AM Parish Mass and then bagels, doughnuts and coffee. Hank Richards will be our guest speaker. He will bring a focus on helping men act upon God’s plans in our lives through the important act of Blessing those in our lives – specifically, the Blessing of a Father on his children. A spoken blessing contains a masculine substance that, when taken from the mouth of a man and placed in the soul of a boy, feeds a deep need in his heart to know who he is and what he’s made of.
Throughout the Scriptures, we see the power of blessing. It is sought after, fought for, and granted (sometimes wrongly) as a determining factor in the life of a man. There is something deeply powerful in the blessing of a father. And there is something deeply hungry in the heart of every boy. Come and learn some common sense techniques to help us bless those in our lives.
The group will take note of fitting scriptures and have an interactive discussion in small groups exploring the significance of accepting God’s will for us and how Faith plays a role. Jesus promises us Joy and living an abundant life. How can we live such a joyful life, give this Joy to others and thus become a better servant of Christ? All men are invited to attend. Bring a friend. Contact RJ Bradner for more information at 330.666.8940.
